Ovine

Sheep stay their healthiest and most productive when tended to regularly. This includes routine deworming, vaccination, and hoof trims. While many shepherds are very diligent in caring for their flocks, we are happy to provide herd health advice and routine examination. In addition, we provide emergency care to regular clients. Sheep most often experience emergencies surrounding lambing season. One of the most vital aspects during a ewe’s gestation is nutrition and energy in the last month leading up to lambing. Her energy needs increase significantly, and if not met, this can lead to a condition called Pregnancy Toxemia, which is a true emergency and requires critical care.
