Sam Johnson, DVM

Dr. J was born in Boulder and grew up in south Denver. While attending high school at Regis Jesuit, Sam spent most of his free time working at an emergency clinic and volunteering at the Denver Dumb Friends League. Sam attended Boston College where he earned a B.S. in Biology. While at BC, he worked as a veterinary technician, completed a large animal internship at the Denver Zoo, and studied abroad on the Galapagos Islands. In 2018, Sam became an owner of GVC. He is currently the Equine Health and Education chair on the Roaring Fork Valley Horse Council and a board member of the R.I.D.E. program in Silt, CO.

Personal Life
Sam enjoys playing softball, ice hockey, camping, fly fishing or hiking with his dog, Hazy.
