Glenwood Veterinary Clinic was started in 1936 and has been at the same location in Glenwood Springs since its inception. With 7 veterinarians in the practice, our patients are primarily horses, dogs and cats, although we do do offer veterinary services for cattle, small ruminants, camelids, and other farm animals and pocket pets. In addition to functioning as a primary care facility, GVC also is available as an equine and food animal referral center for other veterinarians in Western Colorado and Eastern Utah, and offers the services of two residency-trained equine surgeons, both of whom are board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. GVC’s surgeons are available for elective and emergency surgeries and medical care.
GVC is the largest mixed animal practice in western Colorado and the only practice to have two board-certified large animal surgeons available for referral of horses and other farm animals 24/7. GVC has served the Roaring Fork and Colorado River Valleys for over 50 years and is the longest established practice in western Colorado. We are centrally located and are easily accessible from both Interstate 70 and Highway 82.
